Harish Chandra Post Graduate College, Varanasi is a Government supported college, and is one of the head seat of learning of Eastern U.P under the protection of 'Harish Chandra Vidyalaya Samiti, (a nonproductive beneficent establishment enrolled under Indian Society Act 1860). We brag a rich convention of value instruction since 1866 when the incomparable Hindi Laureate 'Bhartendu Harish Chandra' established the framework of this honorable organization with five understudies. Harish Chandra PP.G. College has two separate campuses in Varanasi. The old campus is situated at the heart of the city (mid of city) in Maidagin offering UG & PG courses in Commerce, Science, Humanities, Law etc however new campus is located at Bawan Beegha on Azamgarh road, this center offers professional courses such as MBA, B.Pharm, BBA & BCA. The campus is around 8 km from Varanasi Railway Station and approx 4 KM from the famous Pandeypur on the Varanasi-Azamgarh Road.
The peaceful and lush green campus spread over an area of 17 acres, has a state-of-art building and amenities such as canteen, sports playground, un-interrupted power supply, potable drinking water, vehicle stand, transport facilities, etc. which completely suits to imparting professional education from the hassle and noise of the main city.
